The purpose of the "Visitation Ministry" is to share the love of God and our church life by offering visits to church members and friends including those who are in rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, assisted living and independent living facilities, those in hospitals or just released from the hospital and those who just need a visit to let them know we care.
Sometimes conversation only is needed. Sometimes people just aren't up to receiving a visit in person. The "Visitation Ministry" would also provide "phone visits."
This ministry is flexible in allowing visiting friends to participate regularly or occasionally as they have time.
Class Leaders are very much part of the ministry in that they will keep in touch with you.
Sometimes "Caring Transportation" may be needed to take people to visit one another.
We would also like to implement a "Caring Meals Ministry" that would involve supplying those recovering from surgery, illness, or cancer treatment with a meal after their return home.
Much of the "Visitation Ministry" supplements the congregational care provided by our ministerial team and is offered by members with warm hearts and good listening skills.
In addition to clergy, stewardesses, and stewards, any member (approved by the pastor) may be part of the communion visitation team.
Please remembers that the pastor will be accompanied by a visitation team member.
If you know of someone who may be in need of a visit, are in need of a visit yourself, or would like to become part of this vital ministry of caring please let us know.
